Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be sworn in for a third consecutive term on Sunday, leading a coalition government after two full terms with a BJP majority. With this, PM Modi now matches the achievement of Jawaharlal Nehru, who won the 1952, 1957 and 1962 general elections.

PM Narendra Modi started his day by paying homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Raj Ghat, former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee at Sadaiv Atal and soldiers at the National War Memorial.
