The Farmers prepare to launge Mega protest for MSP

 The farmer leader Rakesh Tikait announced that the SKM would observing 'black' Friday on February 23, demanding FIR and Rs 1 crore as compensation for the family of the deceased protester at the Khanauri border.


The SKM also said that effigies of The Union Home Minister Amit Shah and his Haryana counterpart Anil Vij will be burnt to condemn the police action. The Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM), an umbrella organisation of the farmers' organisations, on Thursday announced a series of protests, including a ‘mahapanchayat’ in Delhi on March 14.


Tikait said that there will be tractor marches along the country's highways on February 26 , demanding a guarantee law on minimum support price (MSP).



They said that "On 26th February, we will take tractors to the highway, towards the way that goes to Delhi, we will enter into the state highway and central highway. It will be a one-day programme and then we will return. On 14th March, there will be a programme at Ram Leela ground in Delhi for one day. People will go without tractors to that event. Govt keeps saying, they are not stopping us so let's see if they will stop us or not."
